Potterhead Feels and Realisations.

As a Potterhead, I sure have a lot of dreams that can’t ever come true, like witnessing a Sorting Ceremony, cheering in a Quidditch match or simply being inside Hagrid’s hut. These are all as possible as it is for pigs to fly. The only way I could actually do these things would be to see the shooting of the Harry Potter films. But that doesn’t sound as great as being in the place of the characters. And as someone who can hardly imitate myself, being a Harry Potter character doesn’t sound that plausible, right?

Well, coming to the point of this blog- I WENT TO THE WARNER BROS. STUDIO IN LONDON. I am sure if I got a dollar for how happy I was; I would be richer than J.K Rowling. Trust me, it is hard to act sane in front of so many people when you’re practically dying to see something but you know they won’t understand because of the insensitive people they are?

We travelled by a bus from the Studio and it was all I ever wanted. They showed us the Philosopher’s Stone after all. I mean, that tells you just how great people in the Studio would be. On entering the Studio, this very generous person (bless his soul) handed me and my father a Harry Potter passport.

The first thing we saw was a short film on the Studio, after which the screen evaporated and there was a huge door, and not just any door but the one that takes you to the Great Hall. And the Great Hall was the beginning of the awesomeness and feels I was going to be a victim of.

After the Great Hall we were taken into a hall where in specific corners there were various Harry Potter-related props or settings. There was the Forbidden Forest that had me going bananas. The Gryffindor Common Room was pretty much my life. I couldn’t even react through all of it. The Hogwarts Castle model was just magical. I almost forgot to click pictures during it. Oh, and the Dursley’s house at Privet Drive! OH I WAS SHAKING. I WAS NEVER MORE SO OUT OF MY BREATH. I even drank Butterbeer. I never wanted it to finish. It was just beautiful. The whole experience. The souvenirs I brought which I’m never giving to anyone, too.

There were J.K Rowling quotes on the wall, Harry’s faces all over the place, the characters’ wand waiting to be opened, basically ALL I EVER WANTED.

My obsession of Harry Potter started sometime last year and through this year it might have reduced slightly (SHAME ON ME). I was pretty sure I was not going to stay a Potterhead for long (SHAME ON ME) but after the happiness the Harry Potter Studios gave me. . .

I realized that I was still obsessed with Harry Potter.

 After all this time?

Always.
