Daydreaming or Nightdreaming?

My thoughts-

Daydreaming and night dreaming are parts of imagining; though one befalls in light of the day (generally) and the other occurs during the night. While daydreaming is a term referred when we are isolated from our surroundings, which are switched by a fantasy or an individual’s pleasurable thoughts and memories, night dreaming involves dreams of the ideas, emotions and sensations of the being that occur in the mind.

DAYDREAMING; Daydream is a really free thing to do (not in front of teachers though). While daydreaming we are taken into a world which we fancy and have always wanted to visit. Daydreaming normally occurs when someone is conscious. Normally a person daydreams when they are stressed or sometimes worried. Some psychologists warned the parents to not let their children to daydream for the danger of them getting sucked into phobia, in 1950s. But even though the daydreams can put you in trouble causing the teacher to tell you off; daydreams are really amusing. You can have a control on what you want to dream rather than just see what happens next. Daydreaming is like writing a story about yourself.

NIGHT DREAMING; dreams seen during night dreaming are sometimes not understood completely. Night dreaming occurs in the rapid eye movement during sleep. Normally dreams are not very elongated, they can be for just a jiffy or for about half an hour. Dreams can be sometimes bizarre and can show you something you don’t want to see at all, causing nightmares. Nobody wants a nightmare at all. I have had a nightmare once, about a huge spider taking me off to a forest and they were about hundreds of them who were about to cook and eat me but I (fortunately) woke up, and ever since I have never wanted to see a spider-even a small one. Even though dreams can cause nightmares they are not always evil. They can show us our deepest desire and how we can achieve it, and sometimes they show us we have achieved it thereby, encouraging us more. There are people who have been seeing one dream for a very long time, making them afraid to sleep. For example in the poem- the Land of Nod the poet (RL Stevenson) describes the dream he has to see every night when he sleeps.

SO, both daydreams and night dreams can be both exciting and chilling. But I mostly prefer night dreams because it’s like watching an unknown movie of not more than thirty minutes (most probably). Though daydreams are also equally pleasant and fun but night dreams can be seen without stress and without any complaints from your teacher or mother. So finally, I would say both daydreams and night dreams are exhilarating but appalling.
