The Hobbit: book review

The Hobbit is about the story of a hobbit: Billbo Baggins, who did not really like travelling and going on adventures, in fact, if you knew him, he would be the last person you would expect to go on a dangerous escapade to steal treasure from a deadly dragon called Smaug and massacre him just  because for the sake of the dwarves. Gandalf, the magician is the one who really chose Bilbo as their Burglar, who has to undertake all the difficult missions during their adventure and has to be completely painstaking.    Baggins liked a comfortable and an unambitious life. The Hobbit tells us how he went through different forests and caves while encountering many magical creatures like trolls and goblins. Bilbo also got to the turning point of his career; The One or The Ring, which first belonged to an explorer Smeagól later known as Gollum, who lived in a very dark and forlorn cave until one day Bilbo came in looking for help and then they ask each other riddles and Gollum is not able to answer one of  young Bilbo’s sporadic riddles and has to show him the way out. But he actually doesn’t and tries to take help from his “precious birthday gift” but it isn’t there and like that Gollum realizes that Bilbo has it. And then so does Bilbo understand that the ring had magical powers.

This book is very expressive and tells each and every tiny detail of this awesome adventure of Thorin and company which included Mr. Baggins himself. I really like this story because it is so unconventional and unexpected, it is erratic one can’t tell what will happen next. My favourite character of all of them is Gandalf because of his intelligence and cleverness, he knew that Biblo would be perfect for the task and never doubted him till the end. Out of ten I would give it a nine. I also recommend this book to whoever who likes to read about adventures and has read many books like those.
