Santa Claus- Real or Fake?
My experience-
I have heard all those dogmatics that Santa Claus comes to your house the night before Christmas that is the Christmas Eve. But always I used to ignore those things. But this Christmas may have changed my feelings about the Santa.
It was a cold and freezing evening when I had made surprises for Mom and Dad when Mom reminded me that I had to write a letter to Santa.I write one every year in which I tell Santa about my year, my new year resolutions, conclusions and obviously gifts that I want the next year. So then I wrote a sweet and terse letter to dear artificial Santa (the word artificial Santa is mentioned according to how I used to think before).
Normally I keep it under my pillow but this time I rolled it up and tied a ribbon around it and kept it in my socks near our lavish and opulent Christmas tree. The next day when I woke up I went to get my gifts when I noticed a difference there. I realized my letter wasn't there! I was flabbergasted at the difference.I went to Mom and asked her if she had taken it but she didn't have it, my Mom is not a liar she tells the truth. My Dad didn't even know what I was talking about. I was depressed and so much that I returned bed without even opening my gifts. I know it isn't a thing to be forlorn about but I wasn't intrepid enough to bare the truth. I was sulking on my bed when Mom gave out a yell. I was daunted at first but when I came to know everything was fine I calmed down.Mom told she was frustrated on seeing an unknown letter. Which unknown letter? Where is the letter? And from whom it is? all kinds of questions impeded my mind when I saw the letter. There was my name written in bold letters. I took it to my room and sat on my cozy bed to read it. It said:
Dear Prarthana,
you have been commendable this year. Though sometimes you disobeyed your mother, I am impressed with your work. Your all wishes will be granted in the next year or even this too.
There is a request from my side also; please remain the same forever.
Wishing you a happy and merry Christmas,
Yours loving and warm,
SANTA CLAUS
I read the last word over and over. I couldn't believe my eyes, it was like they would just pop out of my head!
This incident has changed my belief.Though I am not sure if Mom had taken it or not.So saying I have ambivalence towards Santa sounds right.
